Amsterdam: centre of culture and commerce
Did you know there are more bicycles in Amsterdam than residents? That fact in itself makes it a fitting location for our Global Grand Final. But Amsterdam is much more than cycling (or wooden shoes). From its humble beginnings as a 13th-century fishing village? to its current role as a major hub for business, tourism and culture, Amsterdam has always had a strong tradition as a centre of culture and commerce.
And there is a vibrant ecosystem for green and sustainable business initiatives. If you can find the time, go and explore some of them.
Getting there and around
Getting to Amsterdam is not difficult. From a lot of European cities there are excellent train connections to the Dutch capitol and Schiphol Airport is a major hub that connects the city to the world.
